WALK No 6

Start by walking down "The Street" towards the George and Dragon P.H. A grade II listed building.The Roughcast hides a much earlier timber framed building.

Bear Left after Shop, along "Cock Rd." On your left is the Village Hall. This was given to the Village Inhabitants by Mrs. Starky, the mother of the Rev. Andrew B. Starky, a much loved Vicar who died at the age of 33 years.

Continue walking until you reach stile on Right. Follow F.P.10 to stream. Cross over footbridge into "Pear Ground",unfortunately most of the pear trees have gone.

Turn Right and follow F.P.ll to stile in hedgerow, near site of Rowde Mill, "A" on map.






Turn Right walk down pavement to entrance to Rowdeford School.

Turn Right cross road follow track FP.82. to Elec. Pylon. (FP83 to Rowde see below)

Turn Left cross over 1st footbridge pass millpond to 2nd. footbridge FP.8 to stile in corner of field, follow path to "Bunny's lane"

Turn Right "Myrtle Farm" the thatched Barn and Cottage is grade II listed, 17cent with roughcast over timber frames. "B" on map. The large farm house on your right "C" on map, is "Malthouse Farm", the Hiscock family were occupiers of the farm in the 18 cent, and were trading as Maltsters. ;,< , ,:, .
